Beyond The Wave CIC
At Beyond The Wave, we deliver open water swimming and outdoor experiences for people of all ages. Working peripatetically, we focus on inclusivity and access for all, creating connections, learning new skills and making the most of the natural landscape we live in.
We are a Social Enterprise; we use our profit and grant funding to subsidise and sometimes fully fund the cost of our sessions; all our profit is circled back in to supporting the work we do in making open water swimming and activities in nature more accessible and inclusive, both physically, emotionally, mentally and financially, for the benefit of everyone’s physical and mental health and wellbeing. Water safety is at our core and embedded in everything we do as we work to increase water safety awareness and reduce drowning.
Schools
Learning is most effective when participants are engaged and enthusiastic. At Beyond The Wave, we strive to be inclusive and create interesting, holistic sessions which stretch and challenge all learners.
The team here at Beyond The Wave are all enhanced DBS checked and have lots of experience working with, and in, schools of all ages and sizes.
We deliver:
Swim England's 'Learn To Swim' programme in pools and open water settings;
Swim England's 'Open Water' programme Level 1 and 2;
Curriculum swimming including self-rescue;
Para swimming;
SEN swimming;
Health and well-being sessions;
Team-building opportunities both in the water and on the land;
Forest School;
Outdoor learning;
Bespoke packages involving water, land, bush craft, survival skills and first aid.
We also offer consultancy services on outdoor spaces and how to best develop and utilise them.
